About

Every child has strengths. Sometimes, they need a different approach to help those strengths shine. Main Line Language & Literacy helps children develop the reading, language, writing, and executive functioning skills that support learning, communication, and confidence.

Meet Rebecca.

Learning is connected. At Main Line Language & Literacy, we look beyond the surface to understand how your child’s skills work together.

Through evaluations, individualized therapy, and targeted instruction, we identify areas of need and develop a plan that addresses them directly.

The goal isn’t simply to make a task easier today. It’s to help children strengthen the underlying skills they can continue to use as they learn and grow.

A Personal Approach.

No two children have exactly the same learning profile.

That’s why we don’t begin with a predetermined program or a one-size-fits-all plan. We begin with an evaluation to understand your child’s strengths, pinpoint areas of difficulty, and determine which skills may benefit from intervention.

From here, instruction is intentional and individualized. Children have opportunities to learn new skills, practice them with guidance, and apply them in increasingly independent ways.

Our work draws on Structured Literacy, the Science of Reading, and Orton-Gillingham-based methods, with multisensory and explicit instruction tailored to each child’s needs.

When helpful and appropriate, we also work with parents, teachers, and school staff to encourage consistency between therapy and the child’s everyday learning environment.

The Skills.

Progress looks different for every child. Depending on their needs, that may mean reading unfamiliar words more accurately, expressing ideas more clearly, following directions more successfully, or approaching schoolwork with greater independence.

Across our services, we aim to help children:

Strengthen foundational reading, writing, and language skills.

Develop strategies for organizing information and approaching tasks.

Participate more confidently in classroom activities and social interactions.

Become increasingly independent in applying the skills they learn.

We recognize that progress takes time, practice, and partnership. Our role is to help children build the tools they need, one skill at a time.

A Partner for Parents and Schools

Parents know their children best. Educators see how learning unfolds in the classroom. Both perspectives can help build a more complete understanding of a child’s needs.

Main Line Language & Literacy works to make that connection meaningful, helping families understand their child’s learning profile and supporting schools through early literacy partnerships and professional development.

Whether you’re a parent looking for answers or an educator seeking additional literacy support, we’re here to help identify a productive next step.
